1941

It was the third season of the Bucks County Playhouse and 15 productions
were seen during 1941 season.

Hunterdon County Democrat
Opening the season was Charles Butterworth starring in George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's comedy about Bucks County entitled George Washington Slept Here. The scanned ad to the left was published in the Thursday, June 5, 1941 edition of the Hunterdon County Democrat. Tickets ranged from 55 cents to $2.20. Following George Washington Slept Here was Mildred Natwick in Ladies in Retirement.

The fifth show of the season starred Katherine Locke, making her Bucks debut and Walter Slezak in The Good Fairy. Both were part of the resident company that season, going on to perform in several other productions. The Good Fairy was directed by actor, Hume Cronyn. The Good Fairy
